Cookies and visit statistics
A short document, because there is little to declare: this site uses no cookies, and without your consent it collects no statistics.
No cookies
We set no cookies, neither technical nor for profiling. We do not use Google Analytics, there are no social buttons, there are no embedded videos, and the typefaces are hosted on our own servers. Until you consent to the statistics, opening these pages your browser contacts nobody else.
What we store on your device
No cookies, but a few entries in the browser’s storage (localStorage and sessionStorage).
cw_consenso_statistiche records the choice you made on the banner, so we do not ask again on every page. It contains si or no. It is written either way, including when you refuse, and it is the only thing we store if you do not consent.
Only if you consent, the ExeWatch library adds three more:
exewatch_device_id: an identifier for the device. It is a code calculated from some features of the browser (operating system, browser type, language, time zone, number of processors, memory, screen) and then stored, so it stays the same from one visit to the next. It distinguishes a new visit from a returning one. It contains neither your name nor your email nor anything else that identifies you directly, but it is the main reason we ask for your consent.exewatch_queue: records not yet sent, for instance when the connection drops. It empties as soon as they arrive.exewatch_device_sent_…, insessionStorage: remembers that the device information has already been sent, so it is not sent again on every page. It disappears when you close the tab.
The statistics, if you consent
We use ExeWatch, which is our own product: it is developed by bit Time Professionals S.r.l., the same company that makes CerimoniereWeb. The data sits on servers in the European Union, in Finland, and is not sold, shared or combined with anything else.
We collect:
- which page was opened, and in which language
- where you came from. In our counts we keep only the domain of the referring site, but once per session the library also sends the full address of the page you came from, together with the address of the page you opened
- whether you opened the brochure, the manual, the videos or the contact form
- the features of the device, when the browser provides them: browser and version, operating system, screen and window size, language, time zone, number of processors, memory, connection type and quality
- technical errors on the page and, to make sense of them, the last elements clicked with the first words of their text
Like any web server, the ExeWatch server also receives the IP address the request comes from.
It tells us which pages actually get read and in which language, so we write the right ones, and it lets us notice when something breaks. We build no profiles, we run no advertising and we do not follow you across other sites.
Changing your mind
Current choice: ...
If you turn the statistics off, we remove the ExeWatch entries from your browser and only your choice remains. You can also clear site data from your browser: the choice is forgotten and we ask again on your next visit.
The contact form
If you fill in the form, what you write is transmitted through Formspree, a United States supplier that delivers it to us by email. That happens only when you press “Send the request”, never during ordinary browsing.
The newsletter
The button to subscribe to the newsletter opens a MailUp page, on another site. That page has its own rules: it uses technical cookies and Google reCAPTCHA, which stops automated sign-ups. On our site the button is a plain link, and nothing happens until you click it. How we handle the subscription data is explained in the privacy notice.
