Two April changes share the same idea: telling you about something before it becomes a problem.

The session that expires

For security, CerimoniereWeb closes the session after a period without activity. People would spend hours on one record, perhaps on the phone with a private office, and lose their changes when they came to save. Now a warning with a countdown appears five minutes before the session expires, and while you are working the session extends by itself.

Appointments to update

The home page has two new lists: appointments that ended in the last three months and those ending in the next thirty days. Each one opens the person’s record directly. Appointments that already have a new holder are left out.

It is the check worth doing before every ceremony season: a commander who has been posted elsewhere or a term that has ended shows up here, not on the envelope of an invitation sent to the wrong person.

Easier for everyone

We have reworked the interface so it works better with screen readers and with the keyboard alone, and reads well on small screens too. For public bodies accessibility is also a legal requirement.

When something goes wrong, the messages now explain what happened in plain words, instead of showing error codes as they used to.
